Rainforest Spa & Healing Sanctuary
We are located on the East Side of the Big Island of Hawai'i in Kea'au. If you are driving from Hilo allow 25 minutes, longer during rush hour traffic. If you are driving from Kona allow 2 1/2-3 hours, depending on your driving speed and number of stops. We appreciate knowing if you are running late. We will accommodate you on your spa treatments on a time-available basis depending on our other scheduled treatments.
Arrival times for the lodging on our property are between 3-6 p.m. This will give you an opportunity to find the property in the daylight, as the roads here are not lit and it can be difficult to find at night.
If you are looking for a nearby bed and breakfasts, we recommend www.artandorchids.com (just down the street) and www.alakaibb.com (near the ocean) We want to make sure you are comfortable and happy.
Our accommodations on the property are as follows: Price for the upstairs one-bedroom suite is $99 per night with any spa package or treatment. This is based on double-occupancy. There is no minimum stay. However, a one-night non-refundable deposit will be required to book the suite so that we can make it available for your requested arrival time.

The suite on our property is small and comfortable. There is a fully-stocked kitchen and indoor bathroom with a shower. There is a queen sized airbed in the bedroom (to prevent mildew...this is the rainforest) and all the linens are provided. This unit is upstairs and there is covered parking at the foot of the stairs.
The treehouse accommodations are for adventurous (not fussy) travelers. It's a real treehouse in a real rainforest. The accommodations include a hot outdoor shower and bathhouse with running water, about a 5-minute walk away. Parking is near the treehouse and prices for staying overnight are $195.00 per night. You will sleep in a handcrafted ohia bed with a hand painted headboard. Double-sized air mattress, linens and towels are provided.
For the even more adventurous traveler, we offer the screened bamboo hut, which rents for $195.00 per week, or $35.00 per night. Monthly rates are also available.
We also offer covered, comfortable camping accommodations with air mattresses for $20.00 per person per night. We provide the use of our outdoor community kitchen with tables, counters and a two-burner propane stove. There is a hot outdoor shower nearby and a bathhouse with running water and electricity. There is also a composting toilet near the camping area for a more regular flow. And there is wireless DSL near the main house.
All accommodations will be charged the State of Hawaii and Transient Accommodations Tax which comes to 10.16%. Please let us know when booking your reservation if you have a gift card or discount coupon.
