A Beautiful Day Spa Retreat is an exquisite tropical oasis. Only 45 minutes to the active  Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, 20 minutes to Pahoa and 25 minutes to downtown Hilo. There is often morning and evening rush-hour traffic to and from Hilo to this location, so be sure to allow for extra driving time during these times. Also, some of the roads to the property are on gravel and can be rugged, so be prepared for a bumpy ride along the way. 

Currently there is a new lava flow that reaches the ocean where visitors can drive up, take a short walk and view the event! We are a short 45 minute drive to this location, so this will be a perfect place to stay if you are coming to see the new flow. For up to date information about the lava flow please call (808) 961-8093. We are all excited about the volcanic activity and want you to be adequately prepared for your visit. If you have asthma or respiratory problems, you may wish to consult your physician before travelling to the Big Island.

This property is blessed with giant rainbow eucalyptus and other huge magnificent trees. The canopy of these trees act as a filter, so even when the rest of the island is experiencing air quality issues, we have cleaner air than almost anywhere else. There is plenty of shade even on hot days, perfect for massage and spa treatments.

If you are interested in spa packages, we have many choices that can include hydrotherapy with papaya bubbles and pineapple or a mango salt scrub. Experience a Hawaiian Bodywrap with tropical vanilla, seaweed, warm lava mud or coconut and honey. Include a facial treatment with cucumber and melon. And what spa experience would be complete without a Lomilomi massage with warm stones and tropical mango and coconut oil? Depending on your arrival time, we can make arrangements for your optimum enjoyment. If you are planning to spend the night we can prepare a delicious, healthy vegetarian dinner   which will include salad, healthy entree', non-alcoholic beverage and dessert. We use locally grown organic fruits and vegetables.

We offer a yoga class every morning at 9 a.m. There is no charge for the class, but donations are graciously appreciated.
